Q: Deep vein completed? Yes;No
Symptomatic?
- Ulcer, pain, swelling
- Neuropathy
Q: Is patient symptomatic? Yes;No
Criteria met?
Criteria:
- Reflux > 500 ms
- Compression for 4 weeks
- CEAP > 2
- HAST I (heaviness, achiness, swelling, throbbing, and itching)
- Walking program
Q: Criteria met? YES;NO
Compression + walking therapy
Q: Was patient enrolled in a walking program? Yes;No
Q: Was patient given a prescription for compression stockings? Yes;No
Optimize medical treatment
Schedule for venous ablation
Is patient cleared from superficial venous system?
Q: Pt cleared? YES;NO
Start post treatment surveillance
Set up all reminders
- If patient is cleared, start the post treatment protocol (bring patient back for a 1 week follow up US and then a 1 month, then 3 month, 6 month and 1 year US for monitoring)
Superficial Venous US is:
- 93970 for bilateral venous US
- 93971 for unilateral venous US
- I87.2 for ICD-10 code
